Logitech has revealed the G Cloud Gaming Handheld, a portable gaming console. The device is a kind of portable PC, sharpened for cloud gaming. According to the manufacturer, the console is fully compatible with Xbox Cloud Gaming and NVIDIA GeForce Now.

The Logitech G Cloud Gaming Handheld has a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels (16:9 aspect ratio), 60 Hz refresh rate and brightness up to 450 cd/m2.

The console runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G single-core platform with an 8-core CPU running at up to 2.3 GHz. There is also 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of UFS flash memory built in.

There is a microSD card slot on the device as well as a USB Type-C 3.1 port for connecting to a computer or charger.

The built-in battery has a capacity of 6000 mAh, which should be enough for 12 hours of battery life. A full charge of the battery, according to the manufacturer, will take 2.5 hours.

As for the design of the device, at the ends of the screen you can see the usual controls for gaming devices - analog sticks, crossbar, X, Y, A and B buttons. There is also a home button and a Logitech G button, which brings up additional menus and pauses the game. On the upper corners of the console, you can see ‘bumpers’ and triggers. Button assignments are customizable, and the console has tactile feedback and a gyroscope.

The console weighs only 263 grams.

Interestingly, the console does not have a SIM card slot and does not support connection to cellular networks. So, to use the game's cloud services the gamer will need to constantly be close to Wi-Fi.

The Logitech G Cloud Gaming Handheld console will go on sale Oct. 17 for $349.99. However, if you pre-order, you can buy the console for $299.99.
