Users of the Wildberries online marketplace will finally have the option to cancel inadvertently placed orders. A cancellation button will be introduced in the app, and it will be active within the first hour after placing an order.
According to the marketplace's press service, the new feature will be available from January 2024, although the exact implementation date is not specified. The option is likely to be gradually rolled out through app updates. Initially, it will be provided to customers who opt for post-payment. According to Wildberries representatives, 80% of users prefer post-payment, where they pay for the product upon receipt. Later on, the cancelation button will be made available even for orders with instant payment.
The "Cancel Order" button will be accessible to buyers within the first 60 minutes near the product card in the "Delivery" section. In the future, the cancellation window may be extended until the seller starts assembling the product.
Wildberries users, including those in Armenia, often complain about accidental purchases (e.g., children accidentally placing orders while playing with the phone) that they later have to return and pay for the return. The new feature aims to address this issue and reduce potential unpleasant scenarios for buyers.
