Apple intends to make a completely bezel-less iPhone by 2025. The company has already approached its OLED display manufacturers to develop a new type of display that will match the design of future devices, according to the Korean website The Elec.

According to the source, Apple does not want to use the current new generation OLED screens, which have slightly curved edges, which is done to achieve a frameless effect. The company believes that such screens can cause optical distortions and are not reliable enough. Therefore, Apple has offered Samsung and LG Display to create flat screens without visible bezels.

According to The Elec, the first Apple smartphones with bezel-less displays will be the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max, which will be released in 2025. In addition, these models will be equipped with a Face ID face scanner hidden under the screen. Also, the selfie camera will remain visible for now.

Earlier, Bloomberg, citing its sources, reported that Apple intends to increase the price of flagship models of the iPhone 15 Pro series of smartphones, and will also produce fewer new smartphones this year than last year.

Notably, Apple hasn't raised the price of its premium smartphones since 2019, when the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max hit the market at $999 and $1,099, respectively. However, the approximate price of the flagship models remains unknown.

The presentation of the iPhone 15 series is expected in September, although it was previously reported that the presentation may be delayed until October 2023.
