Samsung has announced that the presentation of the Galaxy Ring smart ring will take place as part of the international exhibition MWC 2024, which will be held in Barcelona from February 26 to 29. This is stated on the company's website.

Samsung first showed off the Galaxy Ring in a short teaser last month at the launch of its flagship Galaxy S24 smartphone. Galaxy Ring will be part of the Intelligent Health line of devices, which will offer users devices to track their health using artificial intelligence.

The ring is expected to track various health indicators such as heart rate, stress levels, sleep quality and more. Thus, the Galaxy Ring will become a compact analogue of the smartwatches or fitness trackers that Samsung has been producing for several years.

Details about the specifications, price and release date of the Galaxy Ring have not yet been disclosed. The prototype of the device is expected to be unveiled at MWC 2024 as the launch of the device is scheduled for a later date.

Earlier, Samsung Vice President Hong Pak had said that the company is working on developing a sensor for non-invasive measurement of blood glucose levels and continuous blood pressure monitoring. According to Park, who is in charge of the project, the creation of such a sensor is one of the steps to integrate health monitoring functions into Samsung devices, in particular the Galaxy Ring.
