Adobe introduces dress that changes color and patterns with the push of a button

October 13, 2023  12:02

At the Adobe Max conference, the American company Adobe demonstrated several new technological solutions, including a color-changing dress.

The interactive Project Primrose dress can change colors and patterns on its surface thanks to flexible textile displays at the touch of a button. The company has already demonstrated similar technology, but the exhibit used a flat canvas and a small bag. This time the textile display was shown on the dress.

The conference also featured other Adobe developments, including Project Stardust, a technology that simplifies working with images by allowing you to move objects on them as if they were on separate layers. This technology also automatically restores the background after removing objects, adapting to the environment. A similar feature called Magic Editor was introduced by Google this year for the Pixel 8 smartphones.

Project Poseable is a technology that allows you to create 3D models of a person from his photograph and control their movement. This can be useful for animators and designers who want to experiment with different poses and gestures.

The development of Project Dub Dub Dub will be able to facilitate the translation and dubbing of videos into different languages, preserving the voice and intonation of the speaker. This can be useful for creating multilingual content and expanding your audience.

In total, Adobe showed the operating principle of 11 technologies, which are combined into the Sneak program and built on the basis of AI.
