What is the most popular iPhone of 2023?

In the second quarter of 2023, the sales of the base models of the iPhone 14 surpassed that of the Pro versions of Apple's smartphones. This is reported by Wccftech, citing data from Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC).

According to statistics, iPhone 14 has gained 15.3% of the market share, and iPhone 13 –  11.1%. However, it is interesting that the more expensive versions, iPhone 14 Pro Max with a share of 10.7% and iPhone 14 Pro with a share of 9.2%, are in the third and fourth places only after the basic models.

The fifth place was taken by Samsung S23 Ultra with a share of 5.2%. Analysts also note that Apple continues to be the leader in terms of income from the sale of OLED screen smartphones. For example, the iPhone 14 Pro Max had the highest sales figures last quarter, despite the fact that it is the most expensive model in this line of Apple.

9to5Mac specialists assume that this change in sales figures is due to the fact that most buyers of Pro-versions of smartphones buy them at the very beginning of the sale. At the moment, these buyers are waiting for the release of the iPhone 15 Pro series. As a result, in the second quarter, the basic versions of the iPhone are in higher demand among users who do not prioritize new features and specifications.
