The AnTuTu benchmark has published its November smartphone performance ranking, which remains relevant at the beginning of December. In the top 10, seven models run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, but Taiwan’s Dimensity 9500 from MediaTek unexpectedly captured second and third place — the best result for a MediaTek chip in history. The leader is the gaming-focused Red Magic 11 Pro Plus with liquid cooling, scoring more than four million points. The ranking is based on tests of thousands of devices, taking into account CPU, GPU, memory and UX.

Qualcomm leads: seven flagships powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is Qualcomm’s 2025 flagship chip, built on a three nanometer process with eight cores up to 4.32 GHz and Adreno 830 graphics. It delivers stable sixty plus frames per second in demanding games and smooth multitasking. Chinese brands dominate the top positions, though there are global hits such as the OnePlus 15.

MediaTek breakthrough: Dimensity 9500 in the spotlight

The Dimensity 9500 (four nanometers, eight cores up to 3.3 GHz, Mali G720) performs on par with Snapdragon in CPU and AI-related tasks but lags behind in graphics. Three models using it made the top 10 — a triumph for MediaTek, especially considering its price, which is twenty to thirty percent lower than Qualcomm’s.
