Popular Science has compiled a list of the greatest innovations in gadgets, equipment, and technology for 2024.

This ranking has been compiled annually since 1988.

In 2024, Apple's Vision Pro mixed reality helmet was named the greatest innovative gadget. According to the editors, despite certain shortcomings, this device leaves a strong impression and represents technological progress.

The list of innovative devices also includes the Sony A9 III mirrorless camera, the DJI Neo portable drone, the BOOX Palma e-book, and Qualcomm's Snapdragon X processors.

The leader in the Entertainment category is the Zildjian ALCHEM-E hybrid electronic-acoustic drum set.

In the Aerospace category, the prototype of the hydrogen-electric vertical takeoff and landing air taxi was mentioned.

Oura Ring 4 smart ring was recognized as the main invention in the Personal Care category; in the Auto category—the Nautilus car media system of the Lincoln concern; in the Engineering category—the Joule Hive heat battery; in the Sports & Outdoors category—the Saga HoloBike exercise bike; in the Home category—the Smart Indoor Pellet Smoker; in the Emergency Services category—the FireSat system for detecting forest fires; and in the Health category—the Shield preparation for colon cancer screening.
