According to insider Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple is developing several new products based on a certain vision technology. It is expected that the company will introduce smart glasses, similar to those created by Meta in collaboration with Ray-Ban, as well as AirPods with cameras. These products are not expected to hit the market before 2027, if they are released at all. This information was reported by 9to5Mac.

It is noted that Apple aims to capitalize on part of its multi-billion-dollar investments in research and development in the field of "visual intelligence," initially used in the Vision Pro headset. According to Gurman, users have already seen the first steps in this direction. For example, in the iPhone 16, the company implemented a machine vision service using the smartphone’s cameras. A similar system could be integrated into the future glasses.

Gurman emphasizes that these glasses will not be an AR headset with displays. Instead, the new product is expected to be a smart gadget with an AI assistant, allowing users to interact via speakers, cameras, and microphones.

Additionally, the company continues to plan the integration of cameras into AirPods, as was previously reported. However, 9to5Mac expresses doubts about the success of this decision, believing that the glasses’ form factor is more suitable and convenient for integrating machine vision modules.
