In the company's official press release, it is emphasized that the devices have been "re-engineered" for easy service battery replacements, as well as improved performance and better heat dissipation, according to 9to5Mac.

At the event dedicated to the launch of the new devices, Apple highlighted the new iPhone 16 design, which promotes higher and more stable performance. Specifically, the company updated the motherboard by centralizing chip placement and optimizing the surrounding architecture. As 9to5Mac reports, it was this optimization of internal components that contributed to the simplified battery replacement.

Earlier, there were reports online that Apple planned to simplify iPhone battery replacements through an updated electrically induced adhesive release technology. However, it is still unclear whether this innovation is the reason for the easier battery replacement. This will become known later when the first teardown reports of the new devices are released.
