Following the announcement of the Realme 13 Pro and Realme 13 Pro+ smartphones in July, Realme has introduced the base model, the Realme 13 4G, which, as the name suggests, lacks 5G support. However, the new model offers quite advanced features and a modern design.

The specifications of the Realme 13 4G are almost identical to those of the Realme 12 4G. The smartphone is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 685 processor, manufactured using a 6nm process. It has 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM with support for an additional 8GB of virtual RAM. The flash storage capacity is up to 256GB.

Like its predecessor, the Realme 13 4G features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz. The brightness level is 600 nits, with a peak brightness of 2000 nits, and it supports 4096 levels of brightness. The display covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. There is also an in-display fingerprint scanner with a heart rate measurement function.

The hole-punch at the top of the display houses a 16MP front camera with an f/2.45 aperture for selfies. The main camera includes a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor, measuring 1/1.95 inches, with optical image stabilization, complemented by a depth sensor.

The 5000mAh battery supports 67W fast wired charging, which can charge the battery to 50% in 19 minutes and to 100% in 47 minutes. The smartphone also has stereo speakers certified by Hi-Res Audio and a 3.5mm audio jack. The new model is rated IP64 for water and dust resistance (compared to IP54 for the Realme 12 4G). The device is available in Skyline Blue and Pioneer Green colors.

The Realme 13 4G will go on sale on August 8. The price for the 8GB/128GB model will be $185, while the 8GB/256GB version will cost $200.
