The crowdfunding campaign for the Pule smart ashtray has started on the Xiaomi Youpin platform, reports Gizmochina. Pule can eliminate unpleasant odors and minimize the harm of passive smoking. The ashtray supports magnetic charging.

The Pule ashtray is designed to reduce air pollution in rooms where smokers are present. It helps non-smokers avoid inhaling secondhand smoke, which contains many harmful substances, such as tar, nicotine, formaldehyde, and ammonia compounds. Traditional methods of dispersing smoke have proven insufficient, as even with an open window, a large amount of harmful gases and pungent odor still penetrate the air.

The Pule smart ashtray is equipped with a four-layer filtration system, consisting of a plasma generator, a composite water filter, an H12 HEPA filter, and a high-iodine activated carbon layer. This mechanism effectively combats air pollution in small spaces. The hydrolysis technology used in the device demonstrates high solubility of nicotine and other harmful substances. A special fibrous mesh absorbs tar and removes harmful substances from the smoke.

During operation, the plasma breaks down and precipitates small molecular compounds responsible for odors and destroys microorganisms. Individual elements of the smart ashtray can be cleaned and reused, making the device durable. The smart ashtray’s battery has a large capacity, providing long operating time without recharging. The ashtray’s sliding lid is equipped with an LED strip that warns of a low battery level.

The cost of the Pule smart ashtray during the crowdfunding stage is 200 yuan (about $28).
