Meizu continues to release smartphones despite reports earlier this year suggesting the company was planning to exit the market. The Chinese manufacturer has introduced its third smartphone this year — the Meizu Blue 20, which is a budget device with 5G support.
The Meizu Blue 20 is powered by a mid-range, octa-core Unisoc T765 5G processor, built on a 6nm process, with a 5G modem and AI scene recognition technology for photography. It is known that the device will be available in configurations with 6GB and 8GB of RAM and 128GB and 256GB of flash storage, respectively. There is also a slot for microSD cards up to 2TB.
The smartphone features a 6.52-inch IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate, covered by 2.5D glass. The front-facing 8MP camera is housed in a notch at the top of the display, while the back panel has a main 50MP camera with an auxiliary depth sensor.
Specifications of the Meizu Blue 20 also include a 5010mAh battery with 10W charging support, a USB-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and dual stereo speakers.
The smartphone runs on Flyme AI OS with AI functions related to security and privacy. The thickness of the Meizu Blue 20 is 8.3mm. The smartphone is available in black, white, and purple.
The Meizu Blue 20 will go on sale on July 22 at a price of 1,000 yuan (approximately $137).
