In March, OnePlus officially announced that it will enter the foldable smartphone market in the third quarter of this year. While the company is keeping specific details about its upcoming foldable device under wraps, the experts at Smartprix were given an exclusive chance to see the much-anticipated OnePlus V Fold ahead of its official announcement. Working with trusted industry insider Steve “OnLeaks” Hemmerstoffer, Smartprix has obtained detailed renders that show off the striking design elements of the OnePlus V Fold.

Previously, there were many reports circulating online that OnePlus might rename the OPPO Find N2 as the OnePlus Fold. However, according to the periodical, the OnePlus V Fold will have its own "identity" and will not copy the OPPO Find N2.

The main feature of this OnePlus novelty will be the back part of the case made of artificial leather, thanks to which the device will look very impressive, but it will also be comfortable to hold in the hands. Also, the V Fold will have a triple rear camera system emblazoned with the logo of the iconic photo equipment manufacturer Hasselblad.

Based on the renderings, it can be concluded that at least one of the lenses will be a periscope, designed for optical image magnification. The smartphone will have two front-facing cameras, one—above the external display, and the second—in the upper-left corner of the internal display.

Another difference between the V Fold and the Find N2 will be the presence of a switch, typical of OnePlus smartphones, to change working modes.

The frame of this smartphone will be metal, and OnePlus will place antennas on the side edges of the device.

The announcement of the OnePlus V Fold is expected in the third quarter of this year.

And according to SmartPrix, this novelty will go on sale in August.
