Jelly Max: World's smallest 5G phone

June 25, 2024  10:16

Miniature smartphone company Unihertz has announced its latest model, the Jelly Max, which claims to be the world's smallest 5G smartphone.

Innovation and technology

As GizmoChina reports, While the Jelly Max's official specs remain under wraps for now, teasers from Unihertz give some insight into the device's future capabilities. It is assumed that the smartphone will be equipped with a modern display with a cutout for the front camera and an in-display fingerprint scanner, which indicates the use of OLED technology.

The exact dimensions of the screen are still unknown, but, according to visual data from teasers, the diagonal will be between 4 and 5 inches. For comparison, the previous Jelly Star model had a 3-inch display.

Prospects and expectations

It’s difficult to say when the phone will go on sale. As of now, Jelly Max has not received the mandatory 3C certifications and approvals from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (CMIIT), which is required for the device to be legally sold in China. This suggests that Jelly Max is most likely in the early stages of development.

Unihertz continues to delight its customers with unique and innovative solutions in the compact smartphone category. If Jelly Max lives up to expectations, it will not only be the smallest 5G smartphone on the market, but will also offer users advanced technologies in a miniature form factor, which is especially important for those who value portability and high performance in one device.
