Oppo introduces super rugged smartphone that looks like regular one

Oppo has introduced the ultra-durable smartphone Oppo F27 Pro+, which meets the IP69 water and dust resistance standard and is also designed to withstand shocks and drops according to MIL-STD-810H. Despite its rugged capabilities, the device looks like a regular smartphone, which is somewhat atypical for rugged devices. 

The smartphone features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, supporting FHD+ resolution (2412 × 1080 pixels) and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It offers full coverage of the DCI-P3 and sRGB color spaces, displaying 1.07 million color shades with a brightness rating of 500 nits and a peak brightness of 950 nits. 

At the top of the screen, there is an 8 MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture housed in a punch-hole cutout. It also includes an under-display fingerprint scanner. On the rear panel, the smartphone boasts a 64 MP main camera with an f/1.7 aperture and autofocus, accompanied by a 2 MP portrait camera with an f/2.4 aperture.

The F27 Pro+ is powered by MediaTek's 6 nm Dimensity 7050 chipset, featuring an octa-core processor clocked up to 2.6 GHz and an ARM Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. It comes with 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM expandable up to 16 GB virtually, and UFS 3.1 storage options of 128 GB or 256 GB. 

It is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery supporting 67 W SuperVOOC fast charging. The smartphone runs on Android 14 with Oppo's ColorOS 14 skin. 

The Oppo F27 Pro+ will be available for purchase on June 20 in Dusk Pink and Midnight Navy colors. The model with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage will cost approximately $335, while the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage version will be priced at $360.
