OpenAI has significantly improvs ChatGPT: Who can use new features?

April 12, 2024  20:13

The company OpenAI has announced that it has updated the main version of ChatGPT. The update is available to users of all paid versions of the popular chatbot, which can now work with the latest, improved version of the GPT-4 Turbo neural network. OpenAI offers three paid plans: ChatGPT Plus, Team, or Enterprise.

The new model version gpt-4-turbo-2024-04-09 has improved the ability to write texts and program code, solve mathematical problems and make logical reasoning. In addition, it has received a more up-to-date knowledge base. Neuronet was trained on publicly available data as of December 2023: The database of the previous version of GPT-4 Turbo that ChatGPT was running on was limited to April 2023.

OpenAI explained in a post on the X social network that now in the new version of ChatGPT, GPT-4 Turbo, the texts, responses will be simpler, using fewer words and more conversational language. Last Tuesday, the company also made a number of new features available via API, including the GPT-4 Turbo with Vision neural network, which accepts not only text but also images as queries.

It should be noted that this week OpenAI fired two researchers, including the colleague of the company's chief scientist Ilya Sutskever. The latter, let's remind, is one of the initiators of the short-term dismissal process of the company's executive director, Sam Altman.
