iPhone 15 Pro buyers are dissatisfied: What is the reason?

February 2, 2024  10:28

A month after introducing the iPhone 15 lineup, PerfectRec has released its initial data indicating the satisfaction levels of iPhone 15 Pro owners. Surprisingly, these rates fall below those of the iPhone 13 Pro and 14 Pro.

According to the latest report, customer satisfaction with the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max continues to decline, while the satisfaction with the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus has surpassed that of the high-end models.

PerfectRec's most recent report is based on nearly 700,000 Google reviews provided by users. The evaluation measured the percentage of 5 out of 5 stars received by the iPhone 15/Pro models.

Notably, sales of the two Pro models have decreased since September, when early adopters purchased these premium smartphones. Initially, after the September launch, 73.5% of iPhone 15 Pro users rated it 5/5 stars, but this figure has now dropped to 66.1%. Similarly, for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the satisfaction rate decreased from 77% to 72.5%. In contrast, the iPhone 15's rating increased from 68.2% to 78.1%, and the 15 Plus model's rating increased from 70% to 73.5%.

The top three complaints about the iPhone 15 Pro over the past 30 days include:

  • Short battery life;
  • Incremental improvements compared to the iPhone 14 Pro;
  • Disappointment with the physical design and protruding camera lenses.
