Reputable insider Majin Bu has unveiled details related to the design of the iPhone 16. In particular, on his X (formerly Twitter) page, he reported that Apple is currently considering a design option for the iPhone 16 Pro, which will have a circular cutout on the screen for the front camera.

The possible new design actually differs from the current design in that it won't have the Dynamic Island notch on the screen, which was first introduced in 2022 and used on the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, and then on all iPhone 15 models. in the models.

The insider explained that this is just one of the options that Apple is considering at this stage. The final design of the front of the new smartphone will be decided in March 2024, when the production of the iPhone 16 will begin.

Majin Bu himself believes that the round notch will only appear on the iPhone 17. The insider also shared a render of the iPhone 16 Pro with a round cutout to show what the design of this smartphone might look like.

Previously, many sources stated that the next-generation iPhone smartphones will have a round cutout for the front camera, and the Face ID system will be "hidden" under the screen. According to rumors, Apple intends to completely abandon the cutouts for the camera and other sensors in its future smartphones, placing them under the screen.
