An iPhone 15 Pro smartphone melted from the inside due to overheating, a user named Trulywenttospace reported on the Reddit forum.

Trulywenttospace said that he woke up early in the morning on November 3 to the smell of burning plastic and quickly realized that the source of it was his new iPhone 15 Pro phone.

The user believes that the smartphone slowly warmed up and melted throughout the night. In the comments, he clarified that the phone was next to the bed and was not connected to charging.

Trulywenttospace said that he went to the Apple Store the same morning, told about what happened, and the store employees replaced the smartphone with a new one on the spot and said that such an incident had never happened before.

To back up his words, the user posted two photos of his phone, showing the top right side of the screen charred. It is in this part of the device that the A17 Pro processor is located.

Trulywenttospace's post on Reddit received nearly 5,500 likes and over 700 comments.

Earlier many users complained about the iPhone 15 Pro overheating problem. Many of them even complained that they even got burns as a result of using the new iPhone.

In response to user complaints, Apple released the iOS 17.0.3 update in early October, which the company said should fix the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max overheating issue.

Owners of iPhone 15 series phones also complain about the sound quality of iPhone 15 speakers. In particular, they note that when the volume of the speakers is increased to more than 80 percent, the sound is very distorted and resembles a crackle and whistle.
