Record bright screen, durable glass, AI editor and NFC chip: Xiaomi presents its 14 Pro smartphone

Xiaomi has introduced the flagship smartphone Xiaomi 14 Pro, which has very impressive features. The smartphone has a record-breaking bright screen, durable glass, an editor that works with artificial intelligence, and an NFC chip.

Unlike the Xiaomi 14, the front and back panels of the Pro version are equally curved on all four sides (3.5mm radius).

The 6.73-inch screen has a 2K resolution with a density of 552 pixels per 1 inch, the width of the side and top frames is 1.8 mm, the bottom is 2.08 mm. The brightness is a record for the smartphone industry: 3000 cd/m2. The smartphone received a very durable protective glass Xiaomi Dragon Crystal, which increases protection in case of a fall by 10 times.

The smartphone is built on a single-chip Snapdragon 8 Gen3 system and runs the Xiaomi HyperOS operating system. It was compared to the iPhone 15 Pro Max for overheating during gaming, with the Xiaomi 14 Pro performing better in all cases.

The smartphone also has an artificial intelligence editor that can fill in the missing details of a photo or remove unnecessary ones.

The main camera is equipped with a 1/1.31-inch Light Hunter 900 sensor, similar to the Xiaomi 14. However, the fast Leica Summilux lens has an aperture of F/1.42 compared to the standard model's F/1.6, meaning the camera is more photosensitive.

The phone has stereo speakers, an NFC chip, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 connector, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 adapters, and IP68 protection against dust and water. The battery has a capacity of 4880 mAh and supports 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

The standard version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage costs $680. And the version with 16 GB/1 TB memory is offered in China for $820.
