Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan published photos of Armenia’s first satellite, ArmSat-1, on his page on the X social network.

“Our beautiful homeland Armenia in different seasons, as captured by ARMSAT-1 from orbit,” the minister wrote.

Armenia’s first space satellite was launched into Earth’s orbit on May 25, 2022 by a SpaceX spacecraft, which became possible as a result of the cooperation between the Armenian state-owned Geocosmos CJSC and the Spanish Santlantis company.

ArmSat-1 is intended for border control, prevention and management of emergency situations, environmental protection, road construction and other purposes.
