Investment firm Piper Sandler predicts high demand and price increases for the iPhone 16 due to the integration of Apple Intelligence, the company’s AI system. This was reported by Apple Insider, citing a research study.

According to analysts, the presence of AI in Apple's new models will drive significant sales at launch, though not immediately, as the Apple Intelligence system will not be rolled out simultaneously with the release of the new iPhones. However, the growth rate of device adoption may slow down over time.

The report notes that the new smartphones will not offer revolutionary hardware solutions, and due to significant investments in AI development, Apple will likely be forced to raise prices for its devices, which could limit further flagship sales growth.

At the same time, Piper Sandler believes that the potential release of the Apple Watch SE and a more affordable alternative to AirPods will, on the contrary, boost sales.

The Apple "It's Glowtime" event, where the new iPhone 16, Apple Watch 10 (X), and AirPods will be unveiled, is set to take place on September 9 at 8:00 PM Moscow time.
