Samsung has introduced the Samsung BAR Plus 2024 USB drive with some pretty interesting features: it's made of metal and can withstand immersion in salt water for 72 hours. The drive also operates normally at temperatures between 0 °C and +60 °C.

In terms of other specifications, the Samsung BAR Plus uses a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A interface. The 512GB version offers sequential read speeds of 400MB/s.

The drive is already available in China at prices ranging from $11 to $63: the price depends on the memory capacity:

  • 64 GB – $11;
  • 128 GB – $16;
  • 256 GB – $30;
  • 512 GB - $63.

The drive comes with a 5-year warranty, which is quite a significant figure by today's standards.
