The nubia brand belonging to the Chinese ZTE Corporation has introduced the Red Magic 8 Pro and Red Magic 8 Pro+ gaming smartphones. Many of the new features are the same, but the more advanced model has more RAM and fast charging, but a smaller battery capacity.
The screen size of both models is 6.8 inches, Full HD+ resolution (1,116 x 2,480 pixels), and 120 Hz refresh rate. The touch sampling rate is up to 960 Hz.
Below the phone's display is a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. The main camera, according to gsmarena.com, is triple, it includes:
Both smartphones have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and a proprietary Red Magic R2 chip that allows you to adjust a number of gaming effects, including sound and colors, touch sensitivity, and vibration response. There is also a special ICE 11.0 cooling system consisting of several layers of graphite sheets—which remove heat from the screen—and an evaporation chamber with an amount of 2,068 mm3. On the side is a fan with a rotation speed of 20,000 revolutions per minute.
The nubia Red Magic 8 Pro has a battery capacity of 6,000 mAh, which makes it the most powerful battery in the nubia Red Magic series. There is also 80W fast charging support, thanks to which the smartphone is fully charged in just 35 minutes. But the nubia Red Magic 8 Pro+ battery capacity, as mentioned above, is less—at 5,000mAh—, but it has even faster—165W—charging support. In addition, according to the manufacturer, the reduction of the battery size of a more advanced smartphone has made it possible to install such components in the smartphone that ensure better energy distribution and effective security management.
A USB-C port is used to charge the smartphone. There is also a 3.5mm audio jack on top of the case.
The prices of these smartphones will depend on their configurations. The nubia Red Magic 8 Pro model with the simplest configuration, with minimal RAM and built-in (flash) memory will cost $575, whereas the most expensive nubia Red Magic 8 Pro+ will cost $1,005.
