A user of the Russian IT forum Habr with the nickname ZonD80, who is a citizen of one of the European Union countries, exercised his right under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and gained access to the data that Apple collects about its customers. The result surprised him greatly and unpleasantly, because he found out that Apple collects data about every touch of the screen in some iOS applications.

As reported by Gazeta.ru, the documents obtained by ZonD80 contain DSPersonID identifier, Apple ID registration date, full name, payment card type, shipping address, phone number and much more information. The documents also contain a history of Apple ID data changes since 2010.

The Company also stores data on all devices owned or owned by the user, even if they have been sold to another person. The earliest records date back to 2010.

Apple keeps detailed records of user activity in various services, such as Apple Music, Game Center, App Store, and iTunes. According to ZonD80, particularly impressive is the detail of user activity data in the App Store, which records everything from all clicks, time spent on pages, and time spent deciding to buy apps or games, and more.

ZonD80 noted that the resulting files do not contain information about his activities as a registered developer. He also suspects that the received files contain all the data collected about him. He has reason to believe that the company tracks user activity in the operating system and almost all applications. The user sent a request to Apple regarding this issue and promised to report the received answer on the forum.
