Google mocks iPhone for not having Circle to Search feature

Google has published a commercial dedicated to the Circle to Search function and makes fun of the iPhone, which does not have such a function.

The Circle to Search feature was introduced in January and first appeared on the Samsung Galaxy S24 smartphone, as well as the Pixel 7 and 8. It allows to frame any object in the screen and the phone will search and provide information about it.

The less-than-a-minute ad features a "dialogue" between the iPhone and the Pixel, in which the iPhone explains to its Pixel counterpart why so many objects around it are framed; Apple's smartphone says it is going to "search for them later".

It is not the first time that Google publishes such videos, comparing its Pixel smartphones and iPhones. Last year, Google released a series of videos on its Made by Google YouTube channel that showed the Pixel and iPhone as old friends hanging out in nature and talking to each other, but at some point the iPhone starts to get honest. and admitting his shortcomings to Pixel, stating how he envied Pixel for his capabilities.
