Samsung sends Galaxy S24 Ultra to Earth's stratosphere to make spectacular photos

Samsung decided to demonstrate the capabilities of the Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphone camera and using hydrogen-filled balloons elevated the smartphone more than 35 km up, from where it took dozens of photos.

This altitude is not yet considered space, it is actually the Earth's stratosphere and is a great altitude for photographing the Earth.

The smartphones were placed in a lightweight cage-like structure made of carbon fiber and launched by balloons from Southern California, Las Vegas, the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and the Grand Canyon to take photos of various landscapes in the western United States.

During a few days, the Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones took more than 150 photos at different focal lengths, as the S24 Ultra has an ultra-wide and optical zoom lens. While the Galaxy S24's cameras have been criticized for their post-processing performance, the images Samsung has taken are quite impressive.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra was released in January this year as part of the S24 series. It is considered to be the most expensive and powerful version of the series, with a 200MP main camera sensor and useful zoom capabilities.
