Ulefone has introduced a new rugged smartphone Armor 23 Ultra with support for satellite communications. Today there are few smartphones with access to satellite communications, and all of them in one way or another belong to top-end, expensive solutions. In contrast, the new Armor 23 Ultra costs just $530.

Of course, the smartphone cannot be called a flagship, but its specifications are quite interesting. Firstly, it supports two-way satellite communication, which is not available in much more expensive models. Secondly, the device belongs to the protected category. According to available information, this is the first smartphone in this class with satellite communications.

As for other parameters, the smartphone received SoC Dimensity 8020, 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of flash memory. The screen of the new product is 120 Hz Full HD+ with a diagonal of 6.78 inches. The battery has a capacity of 5280 mAh, with 120-watt wired charging and 50-watt wireless charging.

Also noteworthy are the 64-megapixel night vision cameras, the 50-megapixel main camera, and the ultra-wide-angle camera with the same resolution. The smartphone weighs as much as 322 grams, but for a large, protected device this is quite a normal weight.
