Nubia presented in the sidelines of the MWC 2024 international exhibition held in Barcelona on February 26-29 the Flip 5G foldable smartphone, which is the brand's first foldable device and one of the cheapest devices in this segment. The novelty is similar to the ZTE Libero Flip model, which was introduced to the Japanese market last week.

Nubia Flip 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor (one Cortex-A710 core at 2400 MHz, three Cortex-A710 cores at 2360 MHz, four Cortex-A510 cores at 1800 MHz and Adreno 60 64 cores).

The smartphone offers a 6.9-inch flexible OLED display that provides a resolution of 2790×1188 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. On the outside of the device, there is an additional 1.43-inch screen with a resolution of 466 × 466 pixels.

The second screen can serve as the main 50 MP camera field of view, as well as for receiving incoming calls, controlling media playback, displaying weather information and other simple tasks. The main camera is supported by a 2 MP depth of field sensor. Next to the main screen is the 16 MP selfie camera.

The device received a battery with a capacity of 4310 mAh, supported by a charger with a capacity of 33 W. The phone also has Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC chip support.

The Nubia Flip 5G starts at $599, making it one of the most affordable foldable smartphones on the market. The manufacturer said that Nubia Flip 5G will be available in black and gold colors. Unfortunately, the company did not provide information about when the smartphone will be available for sale. However, sales of the similar ZTE Libero Flip are expected to begin on February 29.
