Chinese customs officials arrested a woman who tried to smuggle 50 smartphones attached to her body into the country. During the inspection, the woman tried to run away, but the customs officers caught her.

As gadgettendency.com informs, the woman had 30 iPhones and 20 Samsung phones attached to her body. No other details about the case are reported.

The newspaper notes that the cases of transferring mobile phones to China using such methods are not rare. At the end of December last year, 100 iPhones were seized at the Chinese customs office in Gonged, which a man tried to smuggle into China. During the search, music was turned on in one of the phones.

In August 2023, several smugglers tried to smuggle 780 Intel computer processors (worth about $137,000) hidden in a bus engine into the country through the same customs point, but the customs service prevented the attempt.

Last year, a similar incident occurred in Hong Kong, when customs officials found 70 pieces of smuggled Nvidia Quadro K2200 video cards hidden in a cargo of 280 kg of live lobsters on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao bridge.
