Most anticipated iPhone 17 features: What to expect in 2025?

The iPhone 17 will not be released until 2025, but there are already a lot of rumors about this smartphone and its specifications online. Journalists from MacRumors analyzed them and identified the five most likely features that may appear in the new device.

Many users expect that with the release of the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Plus in 2025, Apple will bring the devices to uniform screen sizes: 6.27 inches for the iPhone 17 and 17 Pro, 6.86 inches for the iPhone 17 Plus and 17 Pro Max. The entire iPhone 17 lineup is expected to use a 19.6:9 aspect ratio, making the devices slightly longer.

Apple is also expected to bring ProMotion technology to even the standard iPhone 17 models in 2025, which means 120Hz screens will be available even on base models. The frequency will likely be dynamic, allowing screens to lower the frequency in idle mode and save energy.

There is an opinion that the iPhone 17 Pro will be the first Apple smartphone with an under-screen Face ID sensor unit. This means that the front of the device will have just one small hole for the front camera, bringing it closer to modern Android device designs.

The Pro models are expected to feature an Apple-designed Wi-Fi 7 chip, which will give the devices the ability to transfer data across three bands simultaneously, promising faster speeds and a more stable connection.

Finally, the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max should get an updated 48-megapixel telephoto lens. This update will allow you to create high-quality photos and videos with support for the Vision Pro MR headset.
