A flicker-free 1.5K screen, 100W charging and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2: Honor 90 GT smartphone was introduced

Honor officially unveiled the Honor 90 GT smartphone in China. This model is targeted towards gamers and is powered by the top-of-the-line Qualcomm SoC from the previous generation, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Despite not being the latest chipset, it is well-suited for gaming, as demonstrated during the announcement event.

The cooling system for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is managed by a heat dissipation module with an area of 37,347 mm², including a vapor chamber with an area of 5,268 mm².

The smartphone features a 6.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2664 × 1200 pixels. The maximum refresh rate is 120 Hz, and the local peak brightness is 2600 nits (the overall peak brightness of the panel is 1200 nits). The PWM frequency is 3840 Hz, making the screen flicker-free. The display covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space.

On the front, there is a 16-megapixel camera, while the main camera setup includes sensors with resolutions of 50 megapixels (Sony IMX906 with a wide-angle lens and OIS) and 12 megapixels (with an ultra-wide-angle lens).

The battery capacity is 5000 mAh, supporting 100W wired charging, which takes approximately 1 hour for a full charge.

The Honor 90 GT comes in four memory configurations: 12/256 GB priced at $365, 16/256 GB at $405, 16/512 GB at $450, and 24 GB / 1 TB at $520.
