Advanced camera, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor: Nubia introduces Z60 Ultra smartphone

The company Nubia, a subsidiary of the Chinese ZTE, has officially introduced its flagship smartphone, the Z60 Ultra. This new device features an advanced camera system, a high-performance processor from Qualcomm, and dust and water resistance according to the IP68 standard.

The Z60 Ultra is equipped with a flat 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1500 nits and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This panel supports a sampling rate of up to 1200 Hz and PWM backlight modulation with a frequency of 2160 Hz. The display has no notches or holes, and the front-facing 12-megapixel camera (2.24μm) is located directly under the panel. Technologies based on artificial intelligence are utilized to enhance the quality of the images.

On the back of the device, there is a triple main camera, consisting of a 1/1.49-inch Sony IMX800 sensor (35mm, f/1.6) with a resolution of 50 MP and optical stabilization. The camera also includes a wide-angle lens (18mm, f/1.8) at 50 MP with autofocus and three-level optical stabilization, as well as a periscope module OmniVision OV64B (85mm, f/3.3) at 64 MP. Video recording is supported in 8K at 30 frames per second or 4K at up to 120 frames per second.

The Nubia Z60 Ultra is powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor (including one Cortex-X4 core with a frequency of up to 3.3 GHz, three Cortex-A720 cores with a frequency of up to 3.2 GHz, two Cortex-A720 cores with a frequency of up to 3.0 GHz, and two Cortex-A520 cores with a frequency of up to 2.2 GHz). This processor is accompanied by LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The smartphone also features an advanced cooling system with a vapor chamber. The device's autonomy is ensured by a 6000 mAh battery with support for fast charging up to 80 W.

The device runs on the Android 14 operating system with the proprietary MyOS 14 interface. Consumers can choose from various versions of the device: 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage, as well as 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage. The retail price of the Z60 Ultra will be announced closer to the start of sales.
