The Wikimedia Foundation revealed the most viewed Wikipedia articles of 2023. The non-profit organization disclosed that English Wikipedia garnered an impressive 84 billion views throughout the year, with the "ChatGPT" article claiming the top spot with a total of 49,490,406 pageviews. Following closely at No. 2 was "Deaths in 2023" with 42,666,860 pageviews, trailed by "2023 Cricket World Cup" with 38,171,653, "Indian Premier League" with 32,012,810 pageviews, and Christopher Nolan’s "Oppenheimer (film)" with 28,348,248 pageviews.

The Wikimedia Foundation also highlighted that during the first half of 2023, the "ChatGPT" article consistently garnered between 100,000 to 400,000 pageviews daily. Furthermore, ChatGPT articles across all language versions of Wikipedia amassed a total of 78 million pageviews.

Rounding out the top 10 were the "Cricket World Cup" article at No. 6 with 25,961,417 pageviews, the article on J. Robert Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb, at No. 7 with 25,672,469 pageviews, the Indian film "Jawan" at No. 8 with 21,791,126 pageviews, the "2023 Indian Premier League" article at No. 9 with 20,694,974 pageviews, and another Indian film, "Pathaan," at No. 10 with 19,932,509 pageviews.
