Bad news: Xiaomi to no longer produce cheap flagships, Xiaomi 15 to be more expensive than Xiaomi 14

The starting price of Xiaomi 15 will be higher compared to Xiaomi 14. This was announced by the head of Xiaomi Lei Jun.

He published a message on the Weibo social network in which he mentioned the characteristics of the Xiaomi 14 model and asked what users' wishes were for the next model. Users suggested making the new flagship model "more expensive", perhaps as an ironic comment on the low price of the Xiaomi 14, which starts at just $545 in China.

In response to this, Lei Jun wrote that the starting price of Xiaomi 15 will definitely increase, since the manufacturer is committed to improving product functionality and usability.

For many users, this is, however, extremely unpleasant news, since Xiaomi has always attracted attention thanks to a very favorable price-quality ratio. And if the company's smartphones become more expensive, they may become less competitive in a market where there is no shortage of expensive smartphones anyway.
