Budget iPhone SE 4 to get iPhone 15’s camera, flagship specifications

Apple plans to equip the new budget iPhone SE 4 with a 48 megapixel camera, similar to that used in the iPhone 15 model, reports the Phone Arena information portal.

The new camera will make it possible to take more detailed pictures with a resolution of 24 megapixels and use digital zoom by two times without compromising image quality. It looks like all devices in Apple's lineup will be moving to higher-resolution cameras and ditching the 12-megapixel sensors.

iPhone SE 4 will also feature a screen with a cutout for Face ID facial recognition and a powerful Apple A16 chip that will provide high performance and energy efficiency. Similar specifications apply to the base iPhone 15 models.

It is also known that the fourth-generation budget smartphone will receive a number of new features, including an action button, which the iPhone 15 Pro also has. Moreover, iPhone SE 4 should be the company's first budget smartphone, made taking into account the design of modern devices. If previous SE models are based on the iPhone 8 body, then the basis for the new budget model will be the iPhone 14 body.

iPhone SE 4 will also receive USB-C and a Face ID scanner. The smartphone will have a single rear camera and an OLED display. In addition, the iPhone SE 4 will be one of the first Apple devices with a proprietary 5G modem.

Apple is expected to introduce the iPhone SE 4 in the first half of 2024, and the base model of the device will cost around $500. This will make the new iPhone one of the most affordable smartphones in Apple's lineup and an attractive option for a wide range of consumers.
