Why do contact pictures and names disappear in iPhones after iOS 17.0.3 update?

October 16, 2023  17:02

A new problem has appeared in iOS 17.0.3, due to which pictures and names of contacts on iPhone smartphones disappear, famous techno blogger Aaron Zollo (ZolloTech) warned about this on his X page (formerly Twitter).

“iOS 17.0.3 seems to have another issue where pictures and names for contacts randomly disappear.  Both my wife and brother-in-law had the exact same issue.  One yesterday and one today.  Anyone else seeing this?" Zolo wrote.

In the comments below this post, technology blogger’s subscribers mentioned that they too had encountered this problem. Moreover, in some cases, it had appeared after the very first release of iOS 17. For others, a similar issue was seen in last year's iOS 16.

One of the users said that in his case, the images are not loaded from the gallery and instead of those photos; white squares appear in the contacts.

Every year, Apple releases a new generation of its iPhone smartphones, which is accompanied by an update to the iOS mobile operating system. As a rule, during the first one to two months after the release of the operating system update, users complain about various problems that prevent the stable operation of the device.

Apple has not yet commented on this issue.
