The 100 best video games released in the last 30 years

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, Edge magazine surveyed nearly 100 gaming industry insiders and compiled a list of the 100 best video games released in the last 30 years. The list highlights the games that have had the greatest impact and received recognition in the industry.

Taking first place in this prestigious ranking is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, an adventure game released in 2017 for the Nintendo Switch console. It has received widespread recognition for its openness, beautiful world, and unique approach to game mechanics.

In second place is the original Dark Souls from FromSoftware, which has become a symbol of complex and exciting role-playing games. The top three is completed by the 1996 3D platformer Super Mario 64, which has become a cult game for Nintendo fans.
