A few days before the release of the full-fledged new installment of Prince of Persia titled "The Lost Crown," the publisher lifted the embargo on online reviews of the game, which, judging by the ratings, turned out to be quite successful.

After the publication of 67 reviews, the average score for the PlayStation 5 version of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was 86 out of 100. The Xbox Series X version received the same score, while the Nintendo Switch version, with fewer reviews, garnered 87/100. The game is also available on PC.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown combines elements of metroidvania and platformer genres. This game marks the first in the main Prince of Persia series in the last 14 years and was released on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, as well as Nintendo Switch.

Reviewers consider Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown one of the best representatives of the genre, praising the battles, level design, and platforming elements.

Some believe that the plot could be more interesting, and the game becomes more captivating not right from the start. The first part of the series was released in 1989, and since the release of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, 14 years have passed. Since 2010, several mobile games in the series have also been released.
