New iPhone 15, watches, headset and software։ What has Apple unveiled and what do you need to know about the new devices?

Apple during its autumn presentation called Wonderlust introduced a new series of iPhone 15 smartphones, Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 smartwatches, new AirPods Pro 2 headphones, as well as an updated OS 17 operating system and two new levels for iCloud+.

iPhone 15

The most anticipated new product of the year is the new iPhone 15.

Here's everything you need to know about the base model:

• A16 bionic chip with a six-core graphics processor,

• Brightness: 1600 cd/m2, maximum brightness reaches 2000 cd/m2,
• There is Dolby Vision and HDR support,

iPhone 15 Pro

According to Apple, the iPhone 15 Pro is "the most professional iPhone Pro we've ever made." Here is what you need to know about them.

• New A17 Pro chip, manufactured with 3nm process technology,
• New graphics processor with shader architecture developed by Apple itself,
• Super Retina XDR OLED screens with a brightness of up to 1600 cd/m2 when displaying images with HDR, the maximum outdoor brightness can reach 2000 cd/m2,
• iPhone 15 Pro has a 6.1-inch screen, iPhone 15 Pro Max has a 6.7-inch screen,
• New USB-C connector with the new USB 3 data transfer standard,
• Pro version camera is equipped with multiple lenses. The company claims that this is the equivalent of seven camera lenses and 48MP resolution,
• New 5x telephoto lens on iPhone 15 Pro Max,
• The ability to simultaneously shoot with the main and wide-angle cameras and create videos with a 3D effect,
• Titanium case,
• "More repairable" rear glass,
• New software features designed specifically for games,
• The new Action button replaces the Mute button and can now be programmed for different functions,
• Pricing starts at $999 for the base iPhone 15 Pro, $1,199 for the base iPhone 15 Pro Max,
• Available for pre-order from September 22nd, in stores next week.

Apple Watch Series 9

Apple's new smart watch is another interesting device that deserves attention.

• New S9 chip, which the company claims is 60% faster,
• GPU accelerated by 30%,
• Display brightness reaches 2000 nits and decreases to one nit,
• Updated neural engine can decode text up to 25% faster than the S chip,
• New features: access to health data through Siri; Name Drop, which allows users to share personal information when they are near another user with the same device; and Double Tap, which lets you control the watch by touching the hand you are wearing the watch with your index finger and thumb.

• The company's first carbon neutral product,

Apple Watch Ultra 2

In addition to the new Series 9, the company also announced an update to last year's Apple Watch Ultra. The watch is designed for athletes and lovers of active recreation and is not afraid of adverse environmental conditions.

• Always-on function,
• Solid titanium case,
• Support for the new double-tap gesture, Siri and Search for your iPhone are also available on the device,

AirPods Pro 2

The new AirPods Pro 2 also has a USB-C connector. Those with the new iPhone 15 and AirPods Pro will be able to charge both devices with the same cable, and there is an option to charge the headset directly from the iPhone.

Software innovations have appeared: Adaptive Audio (determines the user's musical preferences) and Conversation Awareness (automatically activates the transparency mode during speech and reduces the volume of the music being played).

The new headphone will be available on September 22 for $249.

In addition, users will be able to purchase wired EarPods with a USB-C connector for $19. It is not yet known whether it will be possible to buy a case with a USB-C connector for the old headset.

iCloud+

During the event, Apple also introduced two new tiers of iCloud+, its cloud storage subscription. Subscribers can choose between data storage options of up to 6 TB or 12 TB.

iOS

In its iPhone press release, Apple confirmed that iOS 17 will be released as a free software update on September 18, 2023. You can get the update even if you're not going to buy a new iPhone.
