Two new foldable smartphones will hit the market this year -- Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 and OnePlus Open. Each of these devices is interesting in its own way and deserves attention.

Xiaomi Mix Fold 3

The image shows that the design of the back cover and camera block is largely similar to its predecessor. However, the camera arrangement itself is reminiscent of Xiaomi 13 Pro, and the inscription about cooperation with Leica speaks of the serious capabilities of the camera.

According to rumors, Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will be equipped with four main cameras, including the main sensor, ultra-wide angle, periscope and telephoto lens. As for the innards of the device, it is expected to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, 67W fast charging, and 50W wireless charging.

It is expected that the official presentation of this device will take place by the end of August, but the exact date is unknown.

OnePlus Open

New renderings of the OnePlus Open smartphone were shown by an authoritative OnLeaks insider on the SmartPrix portal. Judging by them, the developers of the smartphone have abandoned the alleged “elongated” design in favor of a wider shape similar to the Oppo Find N. The edges of the device will be rounded, and the back panel will be made of eco-leather, while the camera unit will occupy a significant part of the back panel.

According to the leaks, the OnePlus Open will have a 7.8-inch internal foldable display and a 6.3-inch external screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The camera consists of three modules: the main and wide-angle of 48 megapixels each and a telephoto lens of 64 megapixels. Performance will be provided by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, and a 4800 mAh battery will support 67 W fast charging.

While the exact date of the OnePlus Open presentation remains a mystery, it should be expected that this event will happen soon.
