OpenAI has added new settings to the ChatGPT chatbot interface that will allow users to delete chat history and provide a more convenient way to export data. The startup has also announced its intention to release a business version of the service (ChatGPT Business), which will be introduced in the coming months.

As Foxnews informs, today the chatbot works on the basis of the relatively recently introduced GPT-4 language model, and the service is now used by more than 100 million people. ChatGPT stores both user responses and AI responses by default. The new settings, however, will allow the chat history to be deleted after 30 days. Additionally, the data will not be used by OpenAI to train language models.

According to the company, these new control elements will be available to all users, and their integration has already begun. OpenAI notes that the settings can be changed at any time. If the chat history feature is disabled, the data will only be kept for 30 days and will be monitored as necessary to avoid possible abuse before being deleted.

In addition, the company has added a more simplified option to export content. According to OpenAI, the tool allows users to export copies of conversations and related information with artificial intelligence. It was possible to export this data before, but it took a little more effort and time.

At the same time, OpenAI has announced that it is releasing a business version of ChatGPT. The startup, however, did not specify what additional features this version of the chatbot will get compared to the other generally available version. However, the company has assured that in the regular version of ChatGPT, user-generated data will not be used to train language models by default.

OpenAI explained that the business version is intended for "professionals who need more control over their data, as well as companies who want to manage the end-user experience."

OpenAI introduced the paid version of ChatGPT in February. ChatGPT Plus provides faster responses and priority access to paid subscribers for $20 per month. OpenAI has also released an API for companies to integrate the chatbot into their own software.
