Authors of the well-known benchmark AnTuTu compiled a ranking of the most powerful Apple devices. At the top of the list are not the new iPhones at all, but the iPad Pro based on the M2 chip.
The most powerful iOS device of March 2023 was recognized the 12.9-inch iPad Pro 6 tablet based on the Apple M2.
Here's what the ranking looks like:
The first to fifth places were occupied by different versions of tablets, the last three of which are based on the older Apple M1 chip. Interestingly, however, the difference between the top two 12.9-inch and 11-inch and M2-based iPad Pros was more than 120,000 points.
The latest iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, released at the end of last year, ranked 6th and 7th respectively. In addition, the Pro model is slightly ahead of the old version. In eighth place is the older Apple A15 Bionic-based iPhone 13 Pro Max, which scored 100,000 points less than the Apple A16 Bionic-based smartphone of the same model.
The ninth and 10th places were taken by iPad Pro 3 and 4 with a 12.9-inch screen and Apple A12X and A12Z chips. Interestingly, the older model with less RAM (only 4GB vs. 6GB) ranked higher, albeit by only 1,000 points.
