Infosys founder Narayana Murthy has been awarded an honorary doctorate from the National Polytechnic University of Armenia. The ceremony took place during the Silicon Mountains Technology Summit held in Yerevan.

Murthy is the founder of Infosys, the winner of the State Award of the Republic of Armenia for Global Investment in High Technologies, and a key figure in India's IT sector.

He transformed Infosys into an innovative global software company.

In 2014, Murthy was ranked 13th among the 25 global business leaders by CNBC.

In 2012, Fortune magazine included him in its list of the 12 greatest entrepreneurs of our time.
