Best video games of first half of 2024 revealed

Review aggregator Metacritic has released a list of the highest-rated video games of the first half of 2024, excluding collections, add-ons, mobile games, and expanded editions. This is reported by DTF.

First place went to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth with a score of 92 out of 100. In second place is Animal Well (91/100), the first game released by blogger Videogamedunkey. Third place went to indie hit Balatro (96/100), developed by one person.

Also included in the top 10 are action game Tekken 8 (90/100), Japan's Like a Dragon. Infinite Wealth (89/100) RPG, Lorelei and the Laser Eyes (88/100) Puzzle, Paper Mario. The Thousand-Year Door Remake (88/100), Persona 3 Reload (87/100), Riven (87/100), and Shin Megami Tensei V. Vengeance (87/100).
