10 most anticipated video game adaptations

Research company National Research Group conducted a survey among gamers to find out which game franchises they dream of seeing on the big screen. As it turns out, many players want film adaptations of popular games such as GTA, The Sims and others. The DTF portal reports this.

Many gamers have expressed a desire to see films and TV series based on the following games:

1. Grand Theft Auto (GTA)
2. The Sims
3. Call of Duty
4. The Legend of Zelda
5. God of War
6. Mass Effect
7. Final Fantasy
8. Minecraft
9. Fortnite
10. Red Dead Redemption

Some of these franchises are already in the process of being adapted. For example, a series based on God of War is already being developed, as well as films based on The Legend of Zelda, Minecraft and The Sims with Margot Robbie.

The survey also found that 72% of respondents feel inspired to replay games after watching their movie adaptations. Most (65%) believe that gaming movies and TV series are a great way to introduce loved ones to their favorite franchises. In addition, 77% of participants believe it is important that adaptations are made by fans of the games, and 59% are upset when an adaptation does not reflect the spirit of the source material.

National Research Group noted that recent adaptations have significantly increased the recognition of some game franchises. For example, awareness of The Last of Us increased by 15%, Five Nights at Freddy's by 13%, Fallout by 6%, and Twisted Metal by 3%.
