Android 15, the new version of Google's operating system, is expected to be released in 2024. GizmoChina has presented a list of devices that will be the first to receive the update.

As always, Google Pixel devices will be the first to receive the upgrade. But that’s not all. The oldest Pixel models to receive Android 15 will be the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Naturally, newer models will also receive the update, as will the Google Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet. With the exception of the Pixel 8 series (and future Google Pixels), which the manufacturer promises will receive 7 years of updates, older Google Pixels will only get 3 years of software support.

The following Google Pixel devices will receive Android 15:

  • Google Pixel 8 Pro
  • Google Pixel 8
  • Google Pixel 7 Pro
  • Google Pixel 7
  • Google Pixel 7a
  • Google Pixel 6 Pro
  • Google Pixel 6
  • Google Pixel 6a
  • Google Pixel Fold
  • Google Pixel Tablet

As for the Android 15 release date for Pixel smartphones, developers with these devices had access to an early version of the firmware back in February 2024. Since April, Android 15 began to be sent to beta testers. It is expected that a stable version will appear in June, and a full release of the new OS is expected in September-October 2024.
