WhatsApp will have new and useful feature

March 27, 2024  12:25

WhatsApp will introduce a function to quickly rewind videos backward or forward. This feature is already being tested and will work similarly to platforms like YouTube.

To rewind videos backward or forward, users will need to double-tap on the right or left side of the screen, allowing them to skip forward or backward by 10 seconds. It will also be possible to manually scrub through the video by dragging the playback indicator. As noted by Neowin, this feature will also appear in the WhatsApp version for Android, although there is no mention of it in the Google Play Store.

The update will also allow launching and sending video messages by long-pressing the camera button. The video messaging feature was introduced to WhatsApp on Android and iOS last year and is currently accessible through the microphone button.

The WhatsApp changelog specifies that these new features will be available to all users in the coming weeks.

It was previously announced that a chatbot based on artificial intelligence will appear in the WhatsApp search bar. This approach will eliminate the need for users to manually open a dialogue with the AI tool. Additionally, WhatsApp will offer several tips to help users get started with queries, which should enhance interaction with the solution.
