Users report experiencing problems in Telegram

Yesterday, on February 18, the services Downdetector and "Сбой.рф" reported disruptions in the operation of the Telegram messenger.

According to Downdetector data, issues started around 14:00 Moscow time when users began reporting difficulties with updating channels and chats, as well as sending messages. The outages were noted not only in Russia but also abroad.

The "Сбой.рф" service recorded over ten thousand complaints. Users from Moscow (38%) and St. Petersburg (12%) most frequently reported issues with the messenger's functionality.

The reasons for the disruption are currently unknown. However, some users noted that they did not experience problems, leaving corresponding comments on the "Сбой.рф" website.

At the moment, the majority of the problems have been resolved.
